New Honorees for MoCo Business Hall of Fame

The Montgomery County Business Hall of Fame has announced its newest round of honorees.

Four business leaders will be inducted into the Hall of Fame during a luncheon on Oct. 26 at The Universities at Shady Grove (USG) Conference Center in Rockville. Proceeds from the event benefit scholarships for USG business students.

At this year’s induction ceremony, the Hall of Fame will honor four business leaders: Jay “Sunny” Bajaj, president/CEO/founder, Digital Management Inc.; Marilyn Balcombe, president, Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce; Gordon Barnaby, founder and president of BarnAllen Technologies, Inc. headquartered in Rockville; and Ype Von Hengst, executive chef and co-founder of the Silver Diner.

Jeff Galvin, CEO and co-founder of American Gene Technologies, will be the guest speaker.

In its first eight years, the Hall of Fame has supported more than 1,000 students and raised more than $1.3 million for the USG scholarship fund through donations and the annual fundraising event — which has become a staple on the “see and be seen” circuit for Montgomery County political and civic leaders.
