Johns Hopkins University was among the top 20 nationwide in a new college ranking by WalletHub.
The personal finance website compared more than 1,000 higher education institutions in the country on 33 categories including student selectivity, graduation rates and post-attendance median salary.
The top school in the country was the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, according to the ranking.
Johns Hopkins had some of the highest rankings in the country for student-faculty ratio, student diversity, graduation rate and post-graduation salary.
The top 10 colleges and universities within Maryland, according to the WalletHub study:
- Johns Hopkins University
- University of Maryland-College Park
- St. John’s College
- McDaniel College
- University of Maryland-Baltimore County
- Washington Adventist University
- Coppin State University
- St. Mary’s College of Maryland
- Mount St. Mary’s University
- University of Baltimore.
