The Maryland Republican Party will be getting a new executive director next month.
Patrick O’Keefe, who has held the job since early 2018, is leaving to become director of Customer Success for political accounts at the national fundraising firm Anedot. He told Maryland Matters he will be managing a team to support the company’s political accounts and help political organizations raise more money.
O’Keefe previously served as state GOP’s political director.
O’Keefe will be replaced at the state party by Corine Frank, the vice chair of the Anne Arundel County Republican Central Committee. Frank is a former dental assistant and PTA leader who is running for a seat on the Anne Arundel County Board of Education in 2020.
It could not immediately be determined if Frank will stay in the school board race. The state GOP is headed by another Anne Arundel resident, Dirk Haire.
The turnover at the state party was first reported Thursday night in a tweet by Brian Griffiths, editor of the website Red Maryland.
