More changes in the Maryland lobbying world: Carrington & Associates, a small government relations firm based in Bowie, has been purchased by a growing Annapolis concern, Greenwill Consulting Group LLC.
Carrington is owned by Darrell Carrington, a veteran government relations professional who spent the past three years as executive director of the Maryland Cannabis Industry Association. Greenwill’s decision to pick up Carrington is a sign it plans to try to represent the disparate elements of the state’s growing marijuana industry.
“This is an addition to our team with tremendous assets as we continue our expansion,” said Ivan V. Lanier, Greenwill’s founder and CEO.
Earlier this year, Greenwill added John Fiastro, a former top official at the Maryland Energy Administration, to its team.
