One Last Reminder About Trivia Night
Maryland Matters’ trivia contest on Maryland history and politics is this Tuesday evening! It’s taking place in the upstairs bar at Stan & Joe’s Saloon, 37 West St., Annapolis.
We hope you can join us!
It’ll cost just $10 to participate. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the contest begins at 7 p.m. We’ll provide snacks and one drink. The rest is up to you.
Feel free to form teams. Or you can compete on your own.
We’ll be awarding prizes to the top three finishers!
Here are some of the categories we’ll be asking you about:
— ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A FOURTH GRADER (OR, EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT MARYLAND I LEARNED IN FOURTH GRADE)?
— THE WRITE STUFF
— LADIES FIRST
— CHARMED, I’M SURE!
— LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
— NAPTOWN
— SPORTS
— EAT, DRINK & BE MERRY
— MISCELLANEOUS
And who knows? There could be a few others.
To get you in practice, we’ve been asking a trivia question each day. Here’s the question we posted Monday:
This Frederick brewery is known for its edgy beer names and label art drawn by Hunter S. Thompson illustrator Ralph Steadman.
The answer: Flying Dog
One other thing: If you received a separate email on Monday promoting trivia night, you may have noticed that we made a mistake. We said the late Sen. Verda Welcome represented Baltimore County. That, of course, was incorrect — she represented Baltimore City. We apologize for the error.
