How and Where to Vote in Tuesday’s Primary

There’s still time to vote in the Maryland primary — and there are three ways to do it.

Elections officials are encouraging Marylanders to vote by mail — but to ensure that their ballots will be counted, voters must stick their mail-in ballots in the mail and make sure they are postmarked by Tuesday.

Voters can also put their mail-in ballots in designated drop boxes across the state.

Or, they can vote in person Tuesday between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. — though the number of public polling places will be vastly diminished compared to most state elections. Same-day registration will be available at designated voting centers for eligible voters who choose to vote in-person on Tuesday.

If you cannot vote or return the ballot you received in the mail, or you did not receive a ballot in the mail, you
may go to a vote center and cast your vote.
