Gov. Lawrence J. Hogan Jr.’s tenure as chairman of the National Governors Association continuing. Leaders of Maryland’s biggest counties honing their agendas.

Here at Maryland Matters, we plan to bring you coverage of all of this in 2020 — and so much more. In fact, our coverage is expanding in the year ahead and our staff will be growing.

We’re excited by these developments. But bringing you high-quality journalism is an expensive proposition.
