By the end of February, the Department of Health had processed at least 1.4 million people on Medicaid in the state to see if they still qualify for the low-income health insurance program.
The Baltimore-based institute is the only pediatric organization to receive the grant to expand care for patients with Long COVID symptoms.
The federal approval means that the Reinsurance Program can continue at least until Dec. 31, 2028. Without it, the program would have expired in December of 2023.
