The memorandum of understanding, which isn’t legally binding, sets areas of agreement on a 30-year lease in which the team will pay no rent and redevelopment of an area around the stadium.

Few details of new agreement known but the Maryland Stadium Authority is set to meet next week. Announcement came during game that clinched the AL East title for the Orioles.

A spokesperson for Gov. Wes Moore said negotiations, criticized by some as lethargic, continue but would not be done in public.

The three-member board approved the positions without discussion or debate.
