“So we are hopeful to engage with the Moore administration as well as with the legislature to talk about how we can add additional benefits for SNAP participants,” he said.
The costs of essentials such as food, child care and housing have increased faster than wages of common occupations.
“And so for the Congress to say ‘hey, we want people to go back to work,’ doesn’t recognize the economic situation we’re in,” Wilson said
