Trone Hires Ex-Moulton Aide to be Chief of Staff

As he prepares to take office on Thursday, U.S. Rep.-elect David J. Trone (D) has turned to a Capitol Hill veteran to be his chief of staff.

Trone has hired Andy Flick, who worked most recently for Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.), to lead his congressional operation. The hiring was first reported by A Miner Detail.

Flick spent the 2018 election cycle running Moulton’s political action committee, Service America PAC, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to that, he was the Massachusetts congressman’s deputy chief of staff.

Flick has also worked for U.S. Rep. Jim Costa (D-Calif.) and for the late Rep. Ike Skelton (D-Mo.). He spent almost six years as vice president of the Greater University Service Foundation, a St. Louis-based charity.

Flick is a 2009 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis.
