Kittleman Among First Appointees Approved by Senate

The Maryland Senate unanimously confirmed 42 gubernatorial nominees Friday morning.

Among them was former Howard County Executive Allan Kittleman (R), who was unseated in the November election. Kittleman was nominated by Gov. Lawrence J. Hogan Jr. (R) to the Maryland State Workers’ Compensation Board.

Kittleman and two other nominees to the board, James R. Forrester and Howard L. Metz, were confirmed Friday.

According to state law, commissioners work full time and earn salaries that are at least equal to that of a district court judge — $146,333.

Eleven district court judges were confirmed Friday to the benches in Baltimore City and Anne Arundel, Cecil, Baltimore, Frederick, Harford and Talbot counties.

Planning Secretary Robert McCord was among the nominees confirmed Friday as was Gary Attman, who was reappointed to a five-year term on the University System of Maryland Board of Regents.

The full list of nominees confirmed Friday can be found here.
