Democratic Party to Host Tuesday Night Forum in Frederick

The Maryland Democratic Party will host its second Burgers & Brews Gubernatorial Candidate Forum on Tuesday evening.

Eight of the 10 candidates vying for the party’s nomination in the June 28 primary are scheduled to appear: former Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker III, former Clinton administration official Jon Baron, former Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler, former Obama administration official Ashwani Jain, former U.S. Education Secretary John King, former Anne Arundel County Executive Laura Neuman, former U.S. Labor Secretary Tom Perez and retired college lecturer Jerome Segal.

Maryland Matters Editor Danielle E. Gaines will ask questions of the candidates, with a focus on transportation issues.

The forum will stream live on Maryland Democratic Party’s Facebook page, beginning at 7 p.m.
