Public Policy Partners, one of the “white hat” Annapolis public policy and lobbying firms whose clients include nonprofits, advocacy groups, associations and local governments, will announce Monday that Scott Tiffin is coming aboard as a senior government relations associate.
Tiffin, who has a masters degree in social work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, with a concentration in behavioral health, most recently served as chief of staff for state Sen. Clarence K. Lam (D-Howard). In that capacity, he worked on legislation to enhance protections for LGBTQ and immigrant Marylanders, reform the health care system, expand school-based health centers, and create new licensure categories for genetic counselors and certified midwives.
Tiffin has also managed political campaigns, including Lam’s Senate bid in 2018, and provided behavioral health services to a variety of clients.
“We are thrilled to bring Scott onto our team,” said Robyn S. Elliott, partner with the 15-year-old firm. “He brings in-depth policy experience, detailed knowledge of the legislative process, and strong relationships with policymakers.”
