Annapolis Firm Adds Govt. Relations Consultant for Health Care Work
Annapolis lobbying firms are finalizing their teams in advance of the start of Wednesday’s General Assembly session.
Alexander & Cleaver, PA, which has seen significant change over the past couple of years, announced over the weekend that Shannon Grace Gahs is coming on as a new government relations consultant. Gahs will focus on A&C’s health care portfolio and will lead the firm’s Delaware expansion.
Gahs has over a decade of experience managing lobbying and advocacy activities in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware and Massachusetts. Most recently she served as government affairs director for Maryland and Delaware for the Maryland-National Capital Homecare Association, where she joined a coalition of health care advocates to advocate for a 30% rate increase for Medicaid-funded home and community-based health care in Maryland.
“She brings a reputation of skilled health advocacy and
is a resource of healthcare policy knowledge,” said Davion E. Percy, vice president of Government Relations at Alexander & Cleaver.
Gans has also practiced corporate law in private equity
venture capital transactions and corporate litigation in Manhattan.
According to current lobbyist filings, A&C’s health care clients include Doctors Community Hospital, the Kennedy Krieger Institute and Potomac Valley Home Medical.
