Three new judges are headed to the District Court for Baltimore County.
Gov. Lawrence J. Hogan Jr. (R) on Wednesday appointed Guido Porcarelli, Bruce Friedman, and Michael Siri to the bench after their nomination by the county’s judicial nominating commission.
“The appointment of qualified individuals to serve across our state’s justice system is paramount to upholding our responsibilities to the people of Maryland and the rule of law,” Hogan said in a statement. “I have confidence that Judges Porcarelli, Friedman, and Siri will be strong advocates for the law and will serve the citizens of Baltimore County and the State of Maryland admirably.”
Porcarelli has been a partner in the Law Offices of Frank F. Daily, P.A. since 2011 and currently serves on the Attorney Grievance Commission Peer Review Committee. His work has focused on civil litigation with cases in state and federal court and before the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission.
Friedman is a partner with the office of Winegrad, Hess, Friedman & Levitt, LLC, where he has worked since 1999. He focuses on debt collection and also handles personal injury, traffic, and cases involving negligence. Previously, Friedman founded and operated Child Support Services of Maryland, Inc., a business devoted to the collection of delinquent child support on behalf of custodial parents.
Siri is a partner at Bowie & Jensen, LLC, where he has worked since 2004. He is a business litigator with a focus on construction law, while also advising firm clients on employment contracts and disputes.
