Pence Headlining Maryland GOP Dinner

A day after Republican Gov. Lawrence J. Hogan Jr. traveled to New Hampshire and said he was seriously considering a 2020 primary challenge to President Trump, the Maryland Republican Party announced that Vice President Mike Pence will be the keynote speaker at the party’s annual Red, White and Blue Dinner.

The party fundraiser was announced in an email around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The dinner and reception, to be held June 24 at a hotel near the Baltimore-Washington International Airport, includes general admission tickets for $150 and $1,000 tickets to a VIP reception and dinner.

Trump himself headlined the Maryland GOP dinner in 2015, just days after declaring his candidacy for president and less than half a year after Hogan took office.
