U.S. Rep. David J. Trone (D) has rounded out his senior staff.
As previously reported, Trone has named Andy Flick, a Capitol Hill veteran, as chief of staff.
Christina Tsafoulias will serve as legislative director. She spent more than seven years on Capitol Hill working for Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Mass.) before moving to Germany for a fellowship with the Robert Bosch Foundation. Since 2014, she has served as the Advisor for Congressional Affairs at the Embassy of Switzerland.
Sonny Holding will be Trone’s district director. Holding spent 5 ½ years working for Trone’s predecessor, former Rep. John K. Delaney (D), first as a field representative and later as district director for Western Maryland. He also worked for Delaney’s first campaign in 2012.
Jeri Sparling will be the congressman’s operations director. She has worked on Capitol Hill for two decades, including for the late Rep. James L. Oberstar (D-Minn.), who was chairman of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
Hannah Muldwain will be communications director. She worked in the private sector as a consultant before working in politics. Most recently she served as the deputy communications director for Trone’s congressional campaign.
“Our senior leadership is comprised of individuals who have experience both in the District and on Capitol Hill, and I’m confident that together we will be able to get things done for the people of the 6th District of Maryland,” Trone said in a statement. “I’m also grateful to have some of former Representative John Delaney’s staff on board our team to ensure constituents continue to receive top notch constituent services.”
