Maryland Matters on the Air

Maryland Matters‘ Editor Josh Kurtz appeared Monday night on the incomparable Howard County-based podcast, “Elevate Maryland,” hosted by Candace Dodson Reed and Tom Coale.

The obvious topics of discussion: early voting and whether any trends can be detected; political races up and down the ballot; the impact of national politics on Maryland; political personalities; Gov. Lawrence J. Hogan Jr.’s possible national political ambitions; and other political matters.

The less obvious topics (which is why this is such a great podcast): Kurtz’s favorite Beatles tribute band, the Fab Faux; the novel “Life After Life”; Ingmar Bergman’s centennial; a relatively new pizza joint; and the merits of Thanksgiving vs. Halloween.

Click here to listen to the interview. And tune in Nov. 8, when Tom and Candace hold a post-election podcast with Bryan P. Sears of The Daily Record.
