Capital One Pitching for Hogan at Nats Game

Gov. Lawrence J. Hogan Jr. (R) will be at the Washington Nationals game with the Pittsburgh Pirates Thursday afternoon – raising money. Hogan will be in a luxury box furnished by the financial services company Capital One, according to an invitation for the fundraiser obtained by Maryland Matters. The asking price was initially $2,500 a ticket – but a recent email solicitation from Capital One government and policy affairs official Joseph F. Vidulich suggests the price has been reduced to $1,500. It is illegal for registered Maryland lobbyists to solicit campaign cash or host fundraisers for state politicians. But Vidulich and Capital One let their Maryland lobbying registration lapse last Oct. 31. [email protected]
