Gubernatorial Forum on the Environment and Public Health Set

Maryland Matters, the Maryland League of Conservation Voters and the Sierra Club Maryland chapter are co-sponsoring a gubernatorial candidate forum on environmental and public health issues next month.

It’ll take place on April 19, from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Peabody Heights Brewery, 401 E. 30th St., in Baltimore. It’s free to attend.

The seven leading candidates for the Democratic nomination — Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker III, former NAACP president Benjamin T. Jealous, Baltimore County Executive Kevin B. Kamenetz, state Sen. Richard S. Madaleno Jr., tech entrepreneur Alec Ross, attorney James L. Shea, and former Obama administration official Krishanti Vignarajah — plan to attend. Gov. Lawrence J. Hogan Jr. (R) has been invited.

Light refreshments will be served. And of course, craft beer will be available for sale.
