Our Trivia Contest Is Just a Week Away!
One week from today: Maryland Matters’ trivia contest on Maryland history and politics. It’s Tuesday evening, March 27, in the upstairs bar at Stan & Joe’s Saloon, 37 West St., Annapolis.
We hope you can join us!
It’ll cost just $10 to participate. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the contest begins at 7 p.m.
Save the date…and click here to RSVP.
Please make your contribution ‘In Honor of Trivia Night’ to reserve your space.
Feel free to form teams. Or you can compete on your own. We’ll announce the subject areas in a couple of days.
To get you in practice, we’ll be asking a trivia question each day. Here’s the question we posted Monday:
This Baltimore musician wrote “I’m Just Wild About Harry,” Harry Truman’s presidential campaign song in 1948.
The answer: Eubie Blake
Here’s the next question:
After serving two terms on the Baltimore City Council and five terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, this Baltimore native is credited with revitalizing the NAACP after the civil rights group experienced severe financial problems.
Check this space Wednesday for the answer — and the next question! And please make plans to join us on the 27th!
