Just eight days before Maryland Matters’ Maryland history and politics trivia contest on Tuesday evening, March 27, in the upstairs bar at Stan & Joe’s Saloon, 37 West St., Annapolis.

Get excited!

It’ll cost just $10 to participate. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the contest begins at 7 p.m.

Save the date…and click here to RSVP.

Please make your contribution ‘In Honor of Trivia Night’ to reserve your space.

We’ll provide more details about the contest in the days ahead.

We’ll be asking a trivia question each day to get you in practice. Here’s the question we posted Friday:

Who is the Jesuit who was the first priest to celebrate a Catholic Mass in the English colonies? Extra point if you can name where the Mass took place.

The answer: Father Andrew White. St. Clement’s Island

Here’s the next question:

This Baltimore musician wrote “I’m Just Wild About Harry,” Harry Truman’s presidential campaign song in 1948.

Check this space Tuesday for the answer — and the next question! And please make plans to join us on the 27th!
