Rushern Baker Planning a Day of Events on the Eastern Shore Friday
As he inches closer to becoming a candidate for governor in 2018, Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker (D) has a trip planned to the Eastern Shore on Friday, Maryland Matters has learned.
Baker’s public schedule will include an address to students at the Institute for Public Affairs and Student Engagement at Salisbury University; lunch with Cambridge Mayor Victoria Jackson-Stanley at Snapper’s, a popular waterfront eatery; visits to the new Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park in Church Creek and to the YMCA in Easton; and interviews at the Dorchester Banner and Dorchester Star newspapers. He is expected to have some private meetings as well.
Baker’s travels around the state include attending new Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh’s (D) first State of the City address on Thursday afternoon.
